- Deep purple color with a fine purple rim. The nose presents very fine and pure black fruit aromas, a fusion of black cherry, cassia and blackberry jam with notes of crushed mint, an ethereal fragrance of violets and hints of ripe tropical fruit. The year has added an extra layer of purity and refinement to the subtle and complex fruity character of Fonseca, as well as its appealing minerality. On the palate it is supported by vibrant acidity and firm tannins that give it structure but also texture and volume. Fresh fruit flavors linger until the finish.
