Melosa is one of those very typical Algarve liqueurs, made from medronho brandy mixed with honey. Melosa is the natural extension of medronho brandy, perfectly combining the strength of the brandy with the smoothness of the region's honey, usually almost black eucalyptus honey which in itself is a very strong honey with a very sweet and sour taste.
