Sustainability
Installed on terraces supported by granite walls, the vineyards on the farm are organized in rows of vines that are taller than usual in the region (2 meters) and spaced closely together (1 meter). This originality allows the creation of a vegetative wall that favors the use of the sun and, consequently, more airy grapes that ripen better. In addition to the vineyard area (40 hectares), there is a surrounding forest and scrubland. The ecosystem services that these biodiversity areas provide are complemented by sustainable viticulture and nature conservation practices. The grape varieties planted on the farm are mainly those typical of the Vinho Verde region: Loureiro, Alvarinho, Vinhão, Azal, Padeiro de Basto and Fernão Pires.
