- Intense aromas of red and black forest fruits, notes of spices and licorice show the maturation of the main grape varieties planted in the higher and cooler areas of the Douro, such as Tinta Roriz, which is more aromatic and light; Touriga Franca, which shows plenty of fruit and vegetables with discreet notes; and the elegance of Touriga Nacional. The brief aging in French oak barrels enhances the complex fruit aroma and is an excellent example of this type of aging in Douro wines, with a modern and international yet very typical profile. The palate is sweet and enveloping, with soft, noble tannins and a long, warm finish.
