We brought together a magnificent single-varietal Verdelho and married it with an excellent French oak barrel that elevated the wine to a world-class level of quality. On the nose, clearly marked by the barrel, it features fine toastiness wrapped in soft hints of white fruit and a touch of coffee. After the first taste, it proves bold, with balanced acidity, full-bodied in the mid-palate and voluminous. The toastiness arrives on the third taste, when the wine begins to focus before finishing precise and long. This wine displays enormous persistence, always leaving one wanting a second glass. It is a truly unique interpretation of the Azorean territory, in a new world approach. Expressive, stunning, and pleasurable.
