- As it ages, the wine softens and slowly loses its deep dark color, gaining structure and complexity. Because Vintage Port forms a natural "crust" or sediment in the bottle, it should be left upright for 24 hours and carefully decanted before serving. Superb color, full body, and very fine aroma (mint) and flavor.
