Croft Quinta da Roêda Vintage Port 2008

- Deep purple-red with a narrow magenta halo. The nose is imbued with powerful and intoxicating aromas of rockrose, eucalyptus, and the typical aromas of Mediterranean slopes, evolving into a smooth and rich core of raspberry compote. Subtle and fleeting notes of cedar, smoky wood, and coffee provide an additional layer of multidimensional complexity. This is a typically Rôeda nose with its exotic and resinous fragrances and opulent fruit. The palate is characteristically full and round, yet firmly supported by solid and well-integrated tannins. The long finish is driven by a vigorous burst of sumptuous fruit contained by an attractive tannic grip.
