Croft Vintage Port 2011

- Deep purple-black color. The complex, seductive nose has the archetypal opulence of Croft, but displays impressive depth, background, and aromatic reserves. A rich and powerful fruitiness provides the backdrop for intoxicating aromas of flowers and rockrose. Delicious flavor of ripe wild berries appears on the palate. The wine's velvety texture is supported by taut, muscular, and perfectly integrated tannins, which impart strength with an attractive firmness and vigor on the finish. More virile and structured than some recent Vintages from this classic house, the 2011 nevertheless displays all the rich, ripe fruitiness and exotic aromatic character associated with the Croft house style.
