Herdade Grande Red 2019

The intense, deep colour in the glass draws you in, while the huge, powerful nose captivates; layer upon layer of spice, earth and tobacco – all on a rich base of ripe black cherry, cassis and blueberry jam. The hook is set with the first sniff. Rich, round, juicy and enveloping, the palate offers black cherry and black jam before moving on to brighter red fruits. More subtle tones of caramel and sweet oak complement the fruit beautifully. The huge, classic structure of fine tannins and firm acidity persists through to the clean, spicy finish.
