Tasting note
- Tawny brown at the center with a wide amber rim. Rich, smooth nose of overwhelming density and complexity. A rich base of butterscotch and caramel combines with opulent aromas of molasses, plum pudding, dried fig, and raisins. As the wine opens, it reveals pungent notes of nutmeg and black pepper, hints of vanilla and oak, and notes of apricot, plum, and marzipan. With a smooth, silky texture and dense, peppery flavors, the palate has an attractive, lively freshness and impressive persistence.
