Niepoort Wanabi White Alvarinho 2017

Following on from previous editions of the same wine, this is a very elegant Alvarinho, where citrus and floral tones are balanced with drier notes of tea leaves and wet stone. The slight presence of barrels increases the complexity of the aroma. In the mouth it is lively and harmonious, with good volume but with acidity and minerality providing balance to a very discreet sweetness. With a long, creamy and complex finish, Wanabi is recommended for young consumption, but will certainly have an interesting evolution in the bottle.
