Tasting note
This is definitely a memorable port... A wine that has travelled back in time 54 years and is available to the lucky few who can get their hands on the few bottles of this extremely rare port that we will be able to release! The colour is rich and golden, almost like old gold in its liquid form. The complexity on the nose is incredible. It begins with notes of dried fruits such as apricot, hazelnut and toasted almond, with nuances of orange peel standing out, and ends with hints of spices. On the palate it is very fine and elegant. Its acidity is typical of a white harvest, which balances its sweetness. The ageing in the cask and the integration of the brandy define the elegance of its structure. It finishes almost spicy and with a persistence that seems endless.
