Quinta da Devesa Old Vines Reserve Red 2017

The aroma reveals notes of blackberry, toasted notes, and subtle hints of vanilla and cassis, along with small touches of ripe strawberry/cherry, as well as very discreet notes of sweet spices and a very subtle touch of Sichuan pepper. On the palate, it is juicy, fruity, well-balanced, quite straightforward, and offers a beautiful acidity, a slight tension, precision, and lusciousness. It expresses notes of ripe blackberry and raspberry and subtle notes of cassis combined with touches of juicy blueberries, flowers, licorice, light vanilla notes, as well as very subtle notes of cardamom and black olive. The tannins are very firm and subtly smooth. Good finish.
