Tasting note
- According to Portuguese DOC regulations, Garrafeira is the highest quality level, second only to "Reserva," and must meet particularly rigorous standards. Approximately every five years, a vintage is produced using high-quality grapes and small productions from the oldest vineyards of Quinta das Marias. The wine matures for up to two-thirds of its time in new 225L French oak barrels. Garrafeira is a very elegant, multifaceted wine with delicate tannins and balanced acidity.
