Tasting note
The Rufete grape variety reveals nobility through its aging potential and produces quite exotic red wines. Very round, with soft tannins, medium body but very elegant, with aromas of red and black fruits. The wines seem light when compared to classic Douros, but in fact they have a lot of personality and hold up very well on the finish. The low serving temperature, unlike other reds, enhances the fruity character of Rufete and makes it very pleasant to drink.
