Tasting note
Alfrocheiro originated in Portugal and the Dão region after the phylloxera epidemic, where it found its natural habitat. However, we know of no foreign parentage or national origin, although it was once known as "Tinta Francesa de Viseu". A very rare and high-altitude grape variety, it teaches us to produce less and respect its fragility, in order to obtain firm but very delicate and structuring tannins.
